Based on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, Charlie K, songwriter/ performer, has successfully blended back east country,  blues and  jazz feels, with deep rooted seasonings from The West Coast Music Scene. These lyrics and melodies speak to the current moments of our times.

From love songs like, I Am Yours, We're Gonna Win Again and Early in the Morning Round Midnight, all expressing devotion, hope and perfect splendour of togetherness. To songs of social consciousness, as told in, The Hwy 14 Blues, a tale about the missing and A Star in the Sky, a song of hope.

Close your eyes and picture yourself on a boat on a river, while you listen to the smooth Bolero rhythms of The Cool One. Then join in for audience participation and foot stomping in, I Love You So, a frenetic Rockabilly tune that tears up the room.

Growing up in Toronto's East End, and keeping those youthful rebellious roots are tunes like, What's Happening to Me, Why Oh Why and Rocket Man.  Reflecting on our Environment and the blindness to altering course.

All and all, enjoy a very entertaining performance, from a writer who, at a very young age, was required to bring his mother to the bars.  To touring Eastern Canada in a lounge act,  'The Special Touch', determined to make our mark in Vegas history.   To outliving the Outlaw Country Music Scene on those Hog Town streets.   To finally moving west when there was truly only,  One Way Out!

And while crafting my style of music on the west coast I became totally engrossed with jazz standards.   To the point of completing 3 contracts of high seas, high jinks, on those dam Holland America ships.  As The Victoria Trio, we played jazz standards nightly at the Ocean Bar.

Life has been a slice.     See you at the show.          Charlie K

Island Magic Studio

A big thank you to Terry Wicks of Island Magic Studios for having the patience and  guidance in walking me through this recording business.           Without Terry these manuscripts would be still sitting in a binder, waiting for some satisfaction.
